Join other interested adults each Monday morning as we gather in the chapel at 10:30 to preview the scripture readings for the upcoming Sunday.

Pastor's Lunch Bunch
On the second Thursday of each month (September-May) Pastor Dave cooks a wonderful lunch for anyone interested in attending. A free-will offering is collected. Please call the church office by Tuesday prior to the Thursday lunch if you plan to attend.

Social Club
On the first and third Thursday of most months, Christ Lutheran volunteers host a group of adults with developmental and physical challenges for dinner and fun activities.  Cook teams arrive at 5pm and the event ends around 7:30pm.  Hosts, servers, cooks, and drivers are needed.  Please contact the church office for more information.

Parents' Gathering  On the third Sunday of the month (October-May) parents of infants through high schoolers gather in the parlor at 9:50am for informal conversation, that we may support one another as we seek to raise faithful healthy children.

On the first Monday of the month from 7:30am to 8:30am the Evangelism Committee and other volunteers share coffee, doughnuts, and an invitation to worship to passersby at the corner of Grandin and Brandon.  Lots of volunteers are needed! If you are available at that time of day, please join us as we share the love of God in our community.  Contact Pastor Cindy (982-8334; pastorcindy@christlutheranroanoke.org) for more information or to volunteer. Due to the Labor Day Holiday, the next Coffee and a Prayer will be Monday, September 9.

Handy Folk Group
Christ Lutheran Handyman Club meets the second Tuesday of each month at 8:00 AM at the Salem Pancake House and then return to the church for a morning of handyman chores. It is open to anyone interested in helping with small chores and fix-it projects around the church.

Yarn and a Prayer
This group gathers to knit/crochet prayer shawls and baptismal blankets. You don't need to know how to knit or crochet to join this group. There are people there to teach you this skill. This is a wonderful opportunity to share fellowship, learn a new craft and create beautiful shawls (to be given to people needing prayer) and blankets (to be given to babies being baptized). This event is open to all!  We gather at 3:30pm in the parlor on the 4th Wednesday of each month.
